Teacher Members include teachers with an interest in the Suzuki philosophy. It is recommended that members have a music degree, required to have a current membership with the Suzuki Association of the Americas (SAA), and seek teacher training (private lessons, SAA approved events, conferences, or supplemental teacher training events) annually. With current membership dues, Teacher privileges include:

1. May attend all HOTSO meetings.

2. May serve on committees.

3. Are entitled to vote and hold office.

4. May participate in all activities of the HOTSO.

5. Will be added to the HOTSO website list of teachers, WhatsApp group chat forum, and receive any notices or newsletters distributed to members.

Affiliate Members include teachers who are interested in the Suzuki philosophy, support the HOTSO mission statement and activities. With current membership dues, Affiliate privileges include:

1. May attend all HOTSO member meetings.

2. May serve on committees.

3. May audit HOTSO chamber music workshop and masterclass weekend, may participate in all other HOTSO events.

4. Will be included in the HOTSO email list of notices and newsletters distributed to members.
